THE transit of 2025 has arrived beloved, and Jupiter's entrance into Cancer on the 9th June brings a much-needed return to softness and heart-centred growth in a world that’s been stretched thin by grief, urgency and disconnection.

Cancer is the zodiac’s sacred hearth space; where we come to feel safe, nurtured and connected to what matters most. As Jupiter, the planet of expansion, wisdom, and blessings arrives in this sign, it signals a collective invitation to soften, to tend to and come home to ourselves and each other.

Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, meaning it thrives here. Its benevolent nature blends beautifully with Cancer’s emotional intelligence, offering the chance to grow through nourishment and replenishment, and to expand ourselves through connection and emotional intimacy.

Coming off a whirlwind (and frankly, hard) transit through Gemini which overstimulated our minds, scattered our energy and pulled us in many directions, Jupiter’s shift into Cancer re-roots us in the body, the heart and the soul. It asks us to consider: What truly sustains you? Where do you belong? What are you ready to make sacred again, to devote oneself to? Your own Cancer house and any cardinal planets/angles you have will give personal clues to these questions and what's expanding for you during this transit.

THE SACRED TASK OF TENDING TO YOUR INNER WORLD:

Jupiter will spend just over a year in Cancer, and during this time it offers growth through emotional attunement, ancestral healing and the reclaiming of intimacy - with life, with family (blood or chosen) and our inner Self.

Yet, the opening week of this transit comes with a little tension, and just a week after Jupiter’s ingress, it squares Saturn and Neptune at the early degrees of Aries. Jupiter wants to grow and will take risks to do so, Neptune sees and feels inspired by the vision, while Saturn applies the brakes and asks if you’ve really thought it through. It becomes a clash between expansion and limitation, and instinct vs intuition. This transit can feel like you're being pulled in two directions, with part of you ready to leap and another part questioning if it’s the right time. If you’re feeling stuck or blocked at this time don’t force it, as this a time for clarifying and observing rather than rushing in.

On the 25th June, a beautiful New Moon in Cancer merges with Jupiter, planting potent seeds for the year ahead - that with the right intentions are assured to come into full bloom under Jupiter’s benevolence. This new beginning is one anchored in belonging, devotion and emotional renewal.

As we move deeper into the summer months, Jupiter meets Venus and the fixed star Sirius at 14° Cancer on the 13th August. While I’ll share more on this powerful portal later in the summer, know that this alignment is a powerful moment for love, blessings, abundance and all ‘round feel good energy. There’s a reason Astrologer’s say this annual conjunction is the high point of the year!

Jupiter will then station retrograde on the 11th November. When retrograde, Jupiter serves to remind us that real growth happens within, and it’s necessary to pause, to deflate and to reflect in order to fully embody what this particular Cancer cycle is guiding you to embody.

REMEMBERING THE LAST TIME:

What was stirring in your life from the 25th June 2013 to 16th July 2014? This was the last time Jupiter moved through Cancer, and it’s worth reflecting on to understand these broader 12 year Jupiter cycles and how they manifest in your life personally.

For me, those dates bookend an incredibly special time in my life. I travelled to Bali for the first time just days after the transit began in 2013 to attend a Sacred Mystery School, and returned once more in 2014 for a second round just as Jupiter was wrapping up this Cancer journey in my 5th house. These were two profound weeks that I can say, without being dramatic, truly changed my life. Then, as Jupiter was in Leo, I ended up moving to Bali for 2 years! And now in 2025 as Jupiter prepares to return to this territory, I’m once more heading to Bali to host an astrology retreat there in October AND funnily enough have reconnected with Sacred Mystery School and my practices there just a few days ago! It was during the opening ceremony of a current training on Gili Air and joining the space virtually that I realised this beautiful full-circle moment. Whilst the lovely Astrea and I have always kept in touch, it’s been in the last year or so that our connection really grounded again, and it makes reflecting on my years spent at the Temple of Heaven all the sweeter as I recognise how powerful the theme of devotion really was - and is - for me with this particular Jupiter cycle. As an Aquarius, I will say the nostalgia of this time in my life took me by surprise… is this what it feels like to have Cancer placements?! Nostalgia is such a foreign feeling for me haha. Usually I have no patience for it, but perhaps in your own life you’re recognising a sense of returning home to something sacred in 2025 and 2026 - something devotional and with a deep longing. Embrace it.

If you can, take a moment to journal or meditate on what was happening in your world during that time. What beginnings took root? What emotions rose to the surface? What part of you was asking to be nourished? This current transit may echo those themes - but from a wiser, more integrated version of you.
