This is an urban immersion for women who want to reconnect with themselves and honour the changing seasons through somatic practices, astrology, breathwork, journaling and shared ritual - but also enjoy the vibrancy of city life and the old-world charm of Portugal.
With plenty of free time to explore Porto, optional 1:1 sessions and thoughtfully created workshops, this retreat offers a spacious, grounded container to both soften inward and expand outward as we mark the beginning of Summer and the celebration of life and growth in nature, and within ourselves.

WHAT MAKES THIS ASTROLOGY RETREAT SPECIAL?
This unique urban retreat invites you to slow down and reconnect with yourself, your body and your spirit through somatic practices, astrology workshops and seasonal ritual. Taking place over Beltane and the Scorpio Full Moon, each day is intentionally curated to support reflection, embodiment, and presence - while also giving you time to wander and explore the sensory magic of Porto.
With a focus on inner listening and nervous system care, this retreat blends meaningful workshops that are personalised for the group, with the small group setting offering a grounded, nourishing container for both solo time and shared connection, all held in the charm and vibrancy of one of Portugal’s most soulful cities.
Porto’s enchanting alleyways, beautiful vistas and ornate tile work will inspire your curiosity and a sense of joy as the city emerges once again with the excitement of the warmer months to come. Together, we'll harness the Beltane energy to dive deep into practices and tools that will help us move through this reemergence period with greater clarity.
ACCOMMODATION
We’ll be staying at The Duke’s Luxury River House in Porto - a four-story authentic Portuguese riverside home at the foot of the iconic Dom Luís Bridge, where Porto’s most legendary views meet a home steeped in story. Designed with care and custom craftsmanship, every corner of this space carries echoes of the past, reimagined for soulful gatherings of the present.
The House is right on the riverfront in the popular “Riberia” area, and consists of 4 private rooms (Terra, Água, Fogo and Eter) and 1 twin-share room (Ar).
Each room is named after an element (in Portuguese), and your gift-bag on arrival will include a personalised gift aligned with that element and it’s influence on your own natal chart. So trust your intuition when choosing your room that you will receive the gift, message and planetary medicine that’s meant for you!
The Duke’s House has the following amenities:

THE PROGRAM
Our days in Porto begin with a gentle somatic or breathwork session with Lauren, followed by a nourishing brunch served in our riverfront retreat home dining room on the 4th floor, with ingredients sourced from local markets.
The daily schedule varies, but late mornings may include a walking tour, journaling circle, or an astrology or seasonal workshop, followed by spacious free time from midday to mid-afternoon. You’re invited to spend this time however you wish - wandering the tiled streets of Ribeira, relaxing by the river, or enjoying a solo café moment with a glass of vinho verde and a pastel de nata. You are also welcome to book an option 1:1 Astrology Reading with Katie or Embodiment Session with Lauren during these afternoon hours.
In the late afternoons, we’ll gather again for workshops, ritual circles, or a group excursion, such as a Douro River cruise. Only the welcome dinner is included, leaving most evenings open for you to explore Porto’s vibrant food scene or rest as you feel called.
This retreat is designed to be spacious, intentional, and deeply restorative. A detailed daily itinerary will be shared with guests upon booking.

We have space for 6 women for this special Beltane celebration in the heart of Porto!
To secure your place on this magical retreat, we kindly ask you to complete the booking form and make a 200€ (euro) deposit which is deducted from your total balance - instructions to make this deposit payment are given on the booking form, as well as our cancellation policies. This initial investment ensures that you reserve the room of your choice.
The remainder of your balance can be settled in a way that best suits your personal circumstances - whether it be paying in full or opting for a convenient payment plan. Just indicate your preference on the form, and once your deposit has been received, our team will be glad to make the necessary arrangements for you.
Payment plans are available, with retreat paid in full 60 days before start date.

THE FOOD
We’ll be providing a nourishing welcome dinner on the first night and daily brunches throughout the retreat, all prepared with seasonal, local ingredients. Daily afternoon tea snacks are included, but evenings are left open for guests to explore Porto’s vibrant food scene at their own pace.
On the last night of the retreat, both guests and facilitators will enjoy a group meal off-site together (not-included) a delicious, local tapas spot for our farewell meal.

We have hosted guests from their early 20's up to their 70’s on past retreats. It’s always really varied, but mostly guests tend to be in their 30’s to 50’s.

Yes! Once your deposit is secured we are happy to accept your remaining balance split over:

Free time is a key part of our retreat flow, and you will have anywhere from 4 to 6 hours a day to yourself. Please note that all activities and meals are optional, so if you need more time to yourself you are welcome to create it!

No! TCA retreats accommodate all levels of astrologers from beginners to enthusiasts, as well as more advanced, practicing astrologers.
Our retreats are kept small so you can receive personal guidance in the workshops.
Each guest receives a copy of their natal chart, as well as a video lesson to enjoy upon booking suitable to their skill and knowledge level. -
Whilst we are not able to accommodate additional days at our retreat centre, we provide you with a list of accommodations if you would like to arrive early or stay on in Portugal.

Transfers to and from the airport are not included, but in the guest whatsapp chat we help guests connect and share a ride if they wish.
Our retreat centre in right in the heart of Porto city centre, and is only a 20 minute uber ride from the airport and is inexpensive. There is also a metro line running from the Airport that will take you close to our venue -
The local language spoken in Porto is Portuguese. While English is commonly spoken in hotels, restaurants, and tourist areas, learning a few basic Portuguese phrases like bom dia (good morning) or obrigada/o (thank you) are always appreciated and adds a warm, personal touch to your interactions.
